Nailfolio questions and answers
Nailfolio is an app for nail stylists and their clients. It includes a gallery with filters, QR connections, Inspiration Sessions, Messages and a client card with visit history.
Stylists can start with Free Demo without a card: up to 5 photos, up to 2 connected clients and 3 pinned styles. Free Demo does not expire. Pro includes an unlimited gallery and client list, plus 90 days of visit history; compare the other paid plans on the pricing page. The 30-day trial is available once per account and requires a card at activation. After 30 days, the subscription starts unless you cancel first. A client account is free.
A stylist or client opens nailfolio.app in a phone browser on Android or iPhone and signs in with Google or an email link.
Stylists and clients can use all Nailfolio features in a phone browser on Android and iPhone. There is no separate desktop app. The Android app is in preparation.
Connections to the app are encrypted. Stripe handles payments. See the Privacy Policy for information about service providers and data processing.
A stylist or client can use the contact form, email … or message @nailfolio on Instagram.
A stylist or client signs in with Google or an email link. To receive a link, enter an email address and open the link in the message. No password is needed.
A stylist or client should check Spam and Promotions. A sign-in link is valid for one hour; after that, request a new one or sign in with Google. If the problem continues, use the contact form and include the email address used to sign in.
A stylist or client can use the same account across all their devices at once. Sign in the same way on each one: with a login link sent to the same email address or with Google. Active sessions can be checked and signed out in the Signed-in devices section of Account.
One person can use Nailfolio as both a stylist and a client. In Account, select Settings, then Switch role. Each role keeps its own data, galleries and settings.
A stylist or client should close and reopen Nailfolio, then check the internet connection. If the problem continues, send a report with the phone model, operating system and error description.
A stylist or client opens the photo menu (three dots), selects “Report” and chooses a reason. The report goes to the moderation team. If a moderator takes action on the photo and the author's email address is available, the author receives the decision by email. The person who submitted the report does not receive an outcome notification.
Open the app, go to the Add tab, take a photo or choose from your gallery, tag colors and features, then publish.
Pinned photos are your best work, displayed at the top of your public profile. The number of pins depends on your plan.
You have one permanent QR code on the Connection screen. Show it to your client on your phone or print it and display it at your station. Your client scans it, opens your profile and sends a connection request for you to accept.
Your client creates an Inspiration Session, chooses photos from your gallery, adds one note and shares the collection with you in one tap. You will find it in the Session Inbox.
Go to Account → Subscription. You can change your plan at any time: a higher plan takes effect immediately, a lower one at the end of the billing period.
Choose Studio and invite stylists by email. After accepting and signing in normally, they use the active salon plan’s capabilities in their own accounts. Their work joins the shared gallery with author credits; each can turn this off in her profile. A client connected with one member can browse the whole gallery and contact any contributing stylist. You can display your permanent QR code at reception as the salon’s code: once you accept the request, the client can see the work of all team members who share photos with the salon and message each of them.
Your photos and data stay in your account, and connected clients retain access to the full gallery. After a paid plan ends, the public profile shows up to 3 pinned styles, and Free Demo blocks adding photos beyond 5 or connecting more than 2 clients. Nothing is deleted.
After the 30-day trial the subscription renews automatically. A reminder arrives 7 days before the charge, so you have time to cancel or change plans. You cancel from your account, no extra email needed.
Go to Account → Subscription → Manage subscription. The Stripe billing portal opens, where you can cancel your subscription. After cancelling you return to the Free Demo plan and keep your account and data. Connected clients still see all your photos, and Free Demo only stops you from adding new ones beyond the limit.
Check that your card is active and has sufficient funds. Go to Account → Subscription → Manage subscription and update your card details. Stripe will automatically retry the payment. If the problem persists, use the contact form.
During the 30-day Pro trial, you can cancel your subscription at no charge. If you have already been charged, submit a request within 14 days. After it has been reviewed, you will receive a response about the refund.
The owner can remove a stylist, and a member can leave. The stylist returns to their own plan’s capabilities. Photos and client data stay on their account, but adding beyond their own plan’s limits is blocked.
Open the Messages tab, there you'll see conversations with clients you're connected with.

No. Your stylist’s QR code is permanent: the same code is displayed at her station and on her screen. Scan it with your regular camera to open your stylist’s profile and send a connection request. Your stylist can accept it with one tap.
It means you already have an active connection with your stylist, so you do not need to scan her code again. Open Dashboard, then Connected stylists, to see her full gallery. You can connect with up to 3 stylists at a time.
A photo may be hidden if it violates the content rules, for example if it contains personal data, faces or content unrelated to nails. You'll receive the reason for the decision by email. To appeal, reply to that message.
